Vintage Infodesign [30]

The beauty and science of ancient information design

July 29, 2013

Our recommendation for today’s Vintage InfoDesign is a very recent article by Charlotte Higgins for The Guardian. Actually, this piece is an edited extract from Under Another Sky: Journeys in Roman Britain, a journey around the archaeological and cultural remains of Roman Britain also written by Charlotte.

In this article (‘History in the making: a Roman map… and an 18th-century hoax‘), the author mentions the “Mappa Brittaniae Facie Romanae Secundum Fidem Monumentorum Perveterum Depicta“, (1755), a very famous map by William Stukeley and Charles Bertram, with which we open today’s round-up.
