Weekly round-up of maps to explore in dynamic ways

Although this compilation is all about interactive maps, there’s always room to talk about cartography in a broader sense. This week’s recommendations goes to two posts we thought were worth mentioning, that fit in that category of non-interactive awesomeness.

The first one came from the Print Express team, that posted a round-up of creative maps, focusing on the design of the map as a piece of art, rather than for it’s accuracy. Includes examples from Stamen, Abigail Daker and Sophia Sobers, among others.

The second recommendation is equally stunning: a collection of photos from the archives of the European Space Agency‘s Observing the Earth, featured on Colossal. Really worth checking out.
