Motorcycle accidents in the UK

Site tries to shed some light on which regions in the UK are the most dangerous for motorcyclists.

September 18, 2012

Riding a bike has been, for many years now, a synonym of freedom, independence and adventure. But it has it’s dangers, and no matter if you’re in an open desert road in the United States, or facing the intense traffic in San Paulo, accidents will happen, unfortunately. An interactive guide created by  MCE Insurance tries to shed some light on which regions in the UK are the most dangerous for motorcyclists.

The site offers a set of filters like the severity of the accident, age and sex, among others. All data is supplied by data.gov.uk. Once you select one of the filters, the map is updated with bubbles indicating the number of accidents in each region.

If you mouse-over any of the bubbles, a new graphic appears with extra data on that topic.
