Virtual Kenya is an online interactive platform that lets you search, browse and visualize data about this African nation. It was designed to provide improved access to high quality spatial data and cutting-edge mapping technology, “allowing more Kenyans to use and interact with spatial data in their educational and professional pursuits.”
Developed last year by Upande, the project was already recognized by Google: It is one of the projectsÂ chosenÂ to be featured in the website morethanamap.com, a Â showcase of what developers around the world have done with Google Maps API.
