Another data visualization competition revealed its winners yesterday. The Hubway Data Visualization Challenge received 67 submissions from information designers that tried to give form and bring new insights from the data collected from half a million Hubway rides – the company provides a bike sharing service in Boston and compiled data from July 28th, 2011 through the end of September, 2012.
Among all the visualizations, the one created by Ta Chiraphadhanakul was elected by the jury as the overall winner.

The Hubway trip history data included every trip ever taken – with date, time, origin and destination stations, plus the bike number and more. You can see all the data visualizations produced from this data in the website’s gallery, it’s really worth the visit
