Michael Paukner

The unique design style of the creator of the See The Bigger Picture infographic series

February 3, 2013

It’s always great when we can present our readers with the work of an infographic designer from a country that wasn’t mentioned before. And this time, besides the fact of this being the first infographic portfolio from Austria featured here, it’s also exciting because the name in question is quite well known in the data visualization community: Michael Paukner.

Michael is 33 years old, and is living in Vienna, Austria. Graduated at New Design University, Austria, in 2000, he’s been working as a freelance graphic designer since 2002, designing everything from websites to logos and from apps to infographics.

He reached international attention with his personal design project See The Bigger Picture on Flickr in 2009/2010 for which he made infographic posters about stunning mysteries, mindblowing facts of science and history.
