When we interviewed Uldis Leiterts, the co-founder of Infogr.am, a couple of months ago, we knew that there was still a lot of work being invested in this Latvian startup. Uldis warned us that his team was working on more exciting developments, and just a few months later, here you have it: Infogr.am Pro was just announced.
Here’s the description send to us, breaking down the new service:
infogr.am, the worldâs most popular online tool for creating visually compelling infograms announces the re-launch of its website, as well as the first professional version offering many new features. The future of infogr.amâs professional version will let users save infograms offline while also permitting access of the graphics to selected user groups. Previously, infographics were stored exclusively on the infogr.am website, where users could share the data visualization via a web link. New updates allow for interactive infograms, which work on any device, and are now fully available on- and offline.
infogr.am offers numerous design templates making data visualization more appealing than that of the usual office software. Improving on the user experience, the new website categorizes templates in regards to topics such as science, business, media / blogs, reports / sales and education, allowing for a faster selection process. After choosing a template, the user can then manually enter data or simply import directly from programs such as Excel.
Currently, infogr.am is used worldwide by over 300,000 with about 700,000 infograms created. Renowned media and organizations such as the Washington Post, VentureBeat and The Next Web are taking advantage of infogr.amâs services with the use of a white-label solution, enabling the function of private brand logo embedding. For all of the free data visualization graphics, the infogr.am logo is integrated without distraction. infogr.am currently offers users a complimentary Pro version until June 1st if they sign up before May 1st, 2013.
âOur aim is to change the way people work with visual information online and offline. Data is beautiful, we just need to make visualization simplerâ described Uldis Leiterts, founder of infogr.am. He further went on to say, âWhen our company name becomes the synonym for infographics, then we will know that we have reached our goal!â
We’re also happy to announce that you’ll be seeing some visualizations here on Visual Loop, created with this tool, in the near future. Just watch this space, and in the meanwhile, head on to infogr.am an try the Pro version for free until June.
