A new round up with 20 recently released interactive maps

Our selection today includes several projects that aim to bring awareness to climate change and pollution, two of the top major environmental issues nowadays. Among those, Enigma’s visualization was very much praised on Twitter, and deservedly. Enigma.io is a search engine and API for public data, and after the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change released a report reaffirming the scientific community’s consensus that the “worst is yet to come”, on March 31, the team decided to develop the map U.S. Daily Temperature Anomalies 1964-2013, using data from the Global Historical Climatology Network. The end result was, like we said, very well-received by the data viz community.
