The legacy of "Gabo" visualized

Infographics and interactive features about one of the greatest contemporary writers

April 22, 2014

It’s always a challenge to make these posts, whenever a great personality leaves us, not only because of the sadness that comes with such news, but also because it’s very hard to say something that hasn’t been said before.

The news that Colombian Nobel Award winner writer and journalist Gabriel García Márquez died at the age of 87 traveled as fast as one would expect, for someone who has millions of fans all over the world, crossing physical, ideological and political frontiers in a way that only a handful of people can say they’ve done – especially ones coming from Latin America.

Pretty much all news portals and mediums in the world have dedicated special sections remembering the body of work of Gabriel García Márquez, and we pulled together this quick list with some of the infographics and interactive features published about the life and legacy of “Gabo”. Do you know any other visualization/infographic that could be part of this list? Let us know on Twitter, and well be sure to add it later.
