This is Visual Journalism [72]

Fifth issue of our special series about the World Cup, with dozens of new infographics

July 3, 2014

As the FIFA World Cup competition moves forward, entering its most dramatic stages, newsrooms across the world begin to turn their attentions to other news, and the infographic production around the top sports event of the year narrows to the remaining countries playing for the ultimate prize.

That doesn’t mean, of course, that the number of interesting works featured in this fifth post dedicated to visual journalism have diminished. There are still a lot of places to discover amazing infographics published around the World Cup, and today we’d like to recommend you a couple of those places.

First, from Italy, the Flickr set with the World Cup infographics of the Corriere dello Sport newspaper. The works there were made by infographic designers Diego Quijano and Artur Galocha, and we open our post with some of that production.

The second tip goes to those using Facebook. The “Cumbre Mundial de Diseño en Prensa” Fanpage gets regularly updated with infographics from different news outlets – most of them in Spanish, but they also post works in other languages.

As for us, in case you missed our previous compilations, here are the links:

And we hope you enjoy today’s selection:
