February 26, 2013

For those involved with tech journalism, especially startups and entrepreneurship, TechCrunch is one the top web sites to follow. And it’s not just because of the up-to-date high-tech news, articles and events.  TechCrunch is also a great source of data, and it’s now making the access to that data available through a set of interactive dashboards, at no cost.

The TechCrunch database is stored across 50 different tables and contains detailed data about 100,000 companies and 200,000 people, and the set of visuals – created using SiSense’s Business Analytics tool, Prism – aims to turn the navigation among that data as simple and intuitive as possible.

As far as we can see, this is actually a pretty useful tool for those seeking information about tech companies, while getting some additional stats about the venture capital investment market. Available tools also include Competition Analysis, Latest Tech Trends and Big Data Investments.
