Diario El Comercio (Perú)
Infographics designer / Art History graduate / 3D modeler
Raúl had his first contact with a newsroom at the age of 16, when he started publishing comic strips in another one of Peru’s traditional mediums, the Expresso newspaper.
Soon he was attending the Art School at one of South America’s oldest universities, La Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. He graduated in Art History, while managing to accumulate several courses related to drawing and illustration at the Instituto Peruano de Publicidad.
In 2000, he had the chance to collaborate with El Comercio as an illustrator, but it wasn’t until 2007 that Raúl joined the newspaper’s award-winning infographics desk, where he remains until today.
